(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Purdue cruised to an 89-67 win over Iowa in the first night of Big Ten conference play.
Carsen Edwards led the Boilermakers with 19 points and Caleb Swanigan had an 11 point and 10 rebound double-double. It was Purdue's seventh straight victory, improving them to 12-2 on the season.
The Boilermakers' held Big Ten scoring leader Peter Jok, who was averaging 22.6 points heading into the game, to just 13 on the night.
"Getting off to a good start was huge for us," coach Matt Painter said. "We had really good ball movement, and that led to good shots."
The No. 15 Boilermakers are off until the calendar flips to 2017, when they take on Minnesota on New Year's Day.
