(SANTA CLARA, CA) - The Indiana Hoosiers’ bowl game losing streak remains intact as they fell to Utah 26-24 in the Foster Farms Bowl.
The Hoosiers haven't won a bowl game since 1991 and this time it was due to a monster game by Utes' running back Joe Williams who galloped for 222 yards and a touchdown.
Utah forced three turnovers in the game, spoiling Tom Allen's coaching debut with Indiana.
Richard Lagow threw for 188 yards, a touchdown and an interception while Devine Redding rushed for 72 yards and a score.
The Hoosiers defense once again did its part at keeping the game close, forcing Utah to kick the go-ahead 27-yard field goal.
Lagow and the offense had one last shot but a sack on first down and a hail mary attempt fell to the ground as he was hit as he threw.
Indiana has lost its last two bowl games by a combined five points.
