(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Thaddeus Young delivered a thrilling finish at the Fieldhouse as he nailed a running shot with 0.9 seconds remaining to give the Pacers a 107-105 victory over the Washington Wizards.
It wasn't how the Blue & Gold drew it up but the Nate McMillan wasn't complaining after the game.
"The plan was to get the ball to Paul (George) for the last shot and they denied him. Thad came to the ball and we wanted to attack the basket."
George led the Pacers with 27 points and nine rebounds while Jeff Teague added 23 points and 10 assists. Young finished with a 12 point and 11 rebound double-double.
The Pacers now head to New York to take on the Knicks in the second game of a back-to-back. Pacers/Knicks tips-off at 7:30pm.
