(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - The start of Big Ten conference play has been a disastrous one for the No. 25 Indiana Hoosiers and it didn’t get any better Tuesday night as they lost to No. 13 Wisconsin 75-68.
Badgers forward Ethan Happ had 19 points to go with six rebounds and four assists while Bronson Koenig added 17 points. Wisconsin shot 50 percent from both the field and three-point range.
"The problem with tonight is we had six turnovers in the first half and they scored two points on every one of them," coach Tom Crean said after the game. "Against the best teams, you can't have bad segments."
The Badgers went on a 13-0 run to start the game and a 10-2 run in the late part of the second half.
Juwan Morgan, De'Ron Davis and Robert Johnson each scored 12 points for the Hoosiers, who shot 53.1 percent from the field.
The defending Big Ten champs have been in a complete freefall since starting conference play. They headed in to conference play with seven wins in eight games and a 26-game home winning streak and have since gone on to lose three straight games, all three in the state of Indiana.
The Hoosiers will try to get back on track on Saturday when they host Illinois.
