(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Caleb Swanigan and the Boilermakers did it again Sunday, knocking off another ranked opponent, this time it was the No. 13 Wisconsin Badgers 66-55.
Swanigan recorded his 14th double-double of the season with 18 points and 13 rebounds while the defense held the Badgers in check all game.
"We felt we could play really good defense against them because of the way we matched up with them," the sophomore forward said. "We wanted them to shoot over our size all night."
Purdue's defense held Wisconsin to just 39 percent shooting and a dismal 2-of-14 from 3-point range.
The Boilermakers have won two in a row and nine of their last ten. They visit Iowa on Thursday in their first conference road game of the season.
