(Lincoln, NE) - Nebraska’s Michael Jacobson had a putback with 42 seconds to give Nebraska the lead and the Cornhuskers made 4 free throws the rest of the way to hold off No. 20 Purdue 83-80 this past Sunday.
Two of Nebraska's five previous loses are from last second shot, so the Cornhuskers knew it was only a matter of time be for some luck came their way.
The Boilermakers Dakotah Mathias' 19 points wasn't enough to slow down the Huskers.
Purdue will try to respond from his loss on Wednesday against Northwestern.
