(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Colts kicker Adam Vinateri received the Sagamore of the Wabash award at the Indiana General Assembly on Monday.
Governor Eric Holcomb presented him with the award, the highest civilian honor in the state.
"It was an honor to present Adam with the award for his outstanding work on and off the field," Holcomb said. "He embodies and understands what it means to be a Hoosier and is truly deserving of the highest honor in the state."
The Sagamore of the Wabash is awarded to people who have helped contribute significantly to Hoosier heritage.
