(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Purdue knocked off in-state rival Indiana to clinch a share of the Big Ten conference crown with an 86-75 victory.
Caleb Swanigan led the No. 16 Boilermakers with 21 points and ten rebounds while Dakota Mathias wasn't far behind with 19 points and seven boards.
"Being able to knock off your rival at your home court for a Big Ten title is unbelievable," Vince Edwards said during the celebration.
For the Hoosiers, they were plagued by foul trouble throughout the game as Thomas Bryant and De'Ron Davis both received their third foul less than four minutes into the second half.
James Blackmon Jr. led Indiana with 19 points while Josh Newkirk and Devonte Green each had 13.
"We're a different team that what we were last year," Tom Crean said as the Hoosiers have gone from Big Ten champs to floating near .500.
Indiana wraps up their regular-season Saturday at Ohio State while Purdue takes on Northwestern on Sunday.
