(BOSTON, MA) - The Pacers streak of alternating wins and losses since the All-Star break continued in Boston last night as they fell to the Celtics 109-to-100.
It was an efficient night offensively for Paul George. He scored 37 points in 42 minutes on 11-of-26 shooting, but overall the Celtics were better, shooting 51% from the field as a team.
Jeff Teague was the only other Pacer who finished in double-figure scoring.
Coming out of halftime, the Pacers trailed by seven looking for a spark to start the second half, but the third quarter provided anything but that as Indiana allowed a season-high 39 points in the third.
"We expected this team to come out the second half more aggressive and raise their play," Pacers coach Nate McMillan said. "We needed to do the same thing. We just weren't able to do it."
The loss marks the fifth straight defeat on the road for the Blue and Gold bringing their record to 11-and-25 away from Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
After falling last night, the Pacers dropped down to the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference standings due to Milwaukee's win over the Sacramento Kings.
Friday marks the start of a three-game home stand for the Pacers when they welcome the Denver Nuggets to town for a 7 o'clock tip.
