(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - As the negotiating window for NFL free agents opened on Tuesday afternoon the Colts wasted no time hanging on to what many consider their top in-house free agent.
The team locked up tight end Jack Doyle with a three-year deal for a reported $19 million with an added $2 million available in incentives, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
The writing appeared to be on the wall as early as January as Doyle said it would be "really hard to see myself playing anywhere else. I want to be back. I love Indy."
The 26-year-old hauled in 59 passes for 584 yards and five touchdowns, becoming one of Andrew Luck's most reliable receivers outside of T.Y. Hilton.
