(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - As NFL free agency entered the weekend the Colts got more active than they were on opening day.
They signed linebackers Jabaal Sheard and John Simon as well as releasing cornerback Patrick Robinson. Sheard inked a three-year deal worth $25.5 million while Simon signed a three-year deal worth a reported $17 million.
Sheard played for the Patriots the last two seasons, racking up 13 sacks. As for Simon he was with the Texans the last two seasons where he had 8.5 sacks and was used as a rotational player.
Meanwhile, the Colts hosted defensive tackle Dontari Poe over the weekend. A deal was not agreed upon as of this writing but both sides are said to be still negotiating. Poe is also in talks with the Jaguars.
