(EVANSTON, IL) - Vince Edwards scored 16 of his game-high 25 points in the second-half as No. 16 Purdue topped Northwestern 69-65.
The Boilermakers got another double-double from Caleb Swanigan, his nation-leading 25th of the season, with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
"They are an NCAA Tournament team more than likely and going into the Big Ten Tournament we could face three NCAA Tournament teams in a row, so we want to beat those teams and add them to our resume and help us when it goes to tournament time," Swanigan said.
The Boilermakers are building a strong tournament resume, having won eight of their last nine games to end the regular-season.
Purdue awaits their opponent in the Big Ten Tournament as they will play Friday.
