(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - The Hoosiers officially introduced new head coach Archie Miller on Monday.
The 38-year old who spent the last six years at Dayton said Indiana was always a job he was interested in.
"In all my time at Dayton I only took one phone call from another university and that was Indiana. I know the tradition that comes with this program and I know how loyal the fan base is and my goal is to make everyone from alumni to faculty to students proud of this team."
As for how he plans to reshape the program, Miller made it very simple.
"We have to start inside this state of Indiana, we have to start moving outside very slowly. The inside-out approach means we have to dedicate ourselves to the high school coaches in the state, the high school talent in the state, the grassroots programs in this state, and they must feel like they're being dominated by Indiana University."
Miller's contract is reportedly a seven-year deal that pays $3.5 million annually.
