(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Pacers are playoff bound as they routed the Atlanta Hawks 104-86 in a must-win final game of the regular season.
Paul George put the team on his back and scored a game-high 32 points and 11 rebounds while hitting five 3-pointers. Jeff Teague added 19 points and seven assists while Myles Turner scored 18.
The win clinched the seventh seed for Indiana and gives them a date with the defending NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers.
"It's both a relief and excitement to go into a new season," coach Nate McMillan said after the win. "This team was built to get into the playoffs. I think we're playing good basketball and I think we can get better."
Meanwhile, Paul George already had his eye on the Pacers' first-round opponent saying, "We've got to go out and challenge them and play them straight up. They've been struggling as of late, but they're still one of the best teams in this league and have one of the best players in the world."
The Pacers will kick off their first-round matchup with LeBron James and company on Saturday afternoon in Cleveland at 3pm.
