(ELKHART LAKE, WI) - Scott Dixon finally conquered one of his elusive career wins as he took the checkered flag to win at Road America for the first time in the KOHLER Grand Prix.
Dixon beat out Josef Newgarden by 0.5779 of a second to earn the 41st win of his career and extend his Indy car record of consecutive seasons with at least one win to 13 seasons.
"We had a bit of luck go our way," he said. "We had a good strategy, the pit stops were fantastic. These are the days you have to capitalize on."
After Dixon and Newgarden were Helio Castroneves, Simon Pagenaud and Will Power.
