(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - In what may be considered as the most unexpected signing of the off-season the Indiana Pacers agreed to a one-year deal with Damien Wilkins on Thursday.
The 37-year old has been out of the league for four years and has spent time playing in China, Spain and the D-League. The Indianapolis Star reports the deal is a non-guaranteed veteran minimum contract for close to $2 million.
The last time he played in the NBA Wilkins averaged 6.4 points per game and shot 33.3 percent from three-point range.
