Colts Acquire Safety Ronald Martin From Jets

Last updated on Tuesday, August 29, 2017

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Colts had a busy Monday as they pulled off a minor trade with the New York Jets that sent safety Ronald Martin to Indianapolis and long snapper Thomas Hennessy to New York.

The move makes Luke Rhodes the Colts' full-time long snapper.

The Colts continued to shore up their secondary as they announced the signing of safety Earl Wolff. Wolff spent time with the Eagles, Jaguars and Redskins and the Colts will hope he adds some depth to a position littered with injuries.

Finally, the Colts released veteran punter Jeff Locke, making rookie free agent Rigoberto Sanchez their full-time punter. Locke was new GM Chris Ballard's first free agent signing just this past offseason and agreed on a two-year, $3.45 million deal after Pat McAfee unexpectedly retired.
