(UNDATED) - A pair of former Colts found work on Thursday as former Colts long snapper Matt Overton has found a new home as he signed with AFC South rival, the Jacksonville Jaguars while recently released offensive tackle Jerry Ugokwe was claimed off waivers by the New Orleans Saints.
Overton was released by the Colts in early May in a cost-cutting move and had two years remaining on his four-year, $4 million contract at the time. He fills a major void on Jacksonville, who lost fifth-year long snapper Carson Tinker to a season-ending ACL tear during Wednesday's practice.
Ugokwe was released by the Colts on Wednesday as they needed a roster spot after signing offensive tackle Arturo Uzdavinis. Ugokwe was an undrafted free agent the Colts signed almost immediately after this year's draft.
