(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Colts were in pads for the first time on Tuesday and it was a good thing they were as tempers flared when a scuffle broke out between T.Y. Hilton and Vontae Davis.
"Just competing, that's all," Hilton said after practice. "At the end of the day, guys are going to compete. You want to show that dog. Me and him showed our dog and at the end of the day, as soon as the period was over we shook hands and talked about it."
Davis also got into it with Phillip Dorsett later in practice and Chuck Pagano said it's okay for things to get heated every so often.
"This is a grown man's game. It's a physical football game, obviously. There's only one way you can play it."
Pagano also took exception to the idea that the Colts haven't been physical enough in previous training camps.
"There's a perception out there, and we have to change it."
Meanwhile, the Colts are reportedly still anticipating having Andrew Luck activated off the PUP list before Week One.
