(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The NBA fined the Los Angeles Lakers $500,000 for tampering with Paul George while he was still a member of the Pacers.
The league announced the Lakers violated the league's anti-tampering rule and the fine was the result of an independent investigation, which was requested by the Pacers.
The findings showed that Lakers General Manager Rob Pelinka had improper communication with Paul George's agent.
"We accept the league's findings," Pacers President Kevin Pritchard said through a team spokesperson.
