(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - As the Colts returned to practice on Wednesday Chuck Pagano addressed the incident involving assistant coach Robert Mathis.
"We're aware of what happened. It's a privilege and honor to play and coach in the National Football League and no one knows that and understands that better than Robert. We've dealt with it internally and now we'll let the legal process handle their end of it and that's where we're at on that deal. We'll move on and we've got his back and we'll get through it."
Asked if Mathis would be at the practice field and on the sideline Sunday when the Colts play the Cincinnati Bengals, Pagano responded "Yes." Pagano also said "there was a good chance" linebacker John Simon will miss a couple of games due to a stinger and listed him as week-to-week.
When it comes to Andrew Luck's return Pagano said whenever he is fully cleared he will play regardless of the team's record or where they are at in the schedule.
