(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Former Colts defensive end, and current assistant coach, Robert Mathis was arrested early Tuesday morning for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
The arrest took place in Carmel, Indiana after Mathis was seen driving the wrong way on a one-way street. The six-time Pro Bowl pass rusher blew 0.052% on a breathalyzer test, under the state's legal limit of 0.08%.
A police report obtained by TMZ Sports says Mathis admitted to taking a sleeping pill and drinking alcohol before operating the vehicle.
The Colts released a brief statement on the arrest saying, "We are aware of the incident involving Robert Mathis last night. We are in the process of gathering more information and have no further comment at this time."
Mathis has been working as a pass rush consultant with the team since September.
