(SEATTLE, WA) - The Colts led at halftime but it was all Seahawks after that as Seattle routed Indianapolis 46-18 to drop the Colts to 1-3.
Seattle put up 22 points in the third quarter alone, including a game-changing pair of plays that saw Seahawks running back J.D. McKissic score a 30-yard touchdown run and 53 seconds later linebacker Bobby Wagner picked up a Jacoby Brissett fumble and returned it for a touchdown. Brissett also threw had an interception returned for a touchdown by Justin Coleman.
Russell Wilson threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for another and was picked off twice. Jacoby Brissett threw for 157 yards and connected with Donte Moncrief for an 18-yard touchdown.
The Colts were dominated on the ground as Seattle out-rushed Indianapolis 194-98 yards.
"They just outplayed us big time in the second half," Chuck Pagano said. "We didn't do a good job of adjusting. That's on me. We're a lot better than that, but it's going to be the same song and dance if we don't get things cleaned up."
The Colts will hope to get back on track Sunday when they host the San Francisco 49ers and will celebrate Peyton Manning with a statue unveiling and retiring his jersey.
Meanwhile, Frank Gore finished with 46 yards rushing, leaving him four yards shy of passing Eric Dickerson for seventh on the all-time career rushing list.
