(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The hits just keep on coming for the Indianapolis Colts as not one, but two more players will be sent to season-ending injured reserve.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Wednesday that Colts defensive tackle Henry Anderson suffered a freak injury in Sunday's win against the Houston Texans, a laryngeal fracture.
Anderson is set to undergo surgery on Friday and joins wide receiver Quan Bray as the second Colt headed for IR in two days.
Meanwhile, cornerback Vontae Davis looks to be headed to injured reserve, according to the Indianapolis Star. A source told Stephen Holder that Davis has been told by multiple doctors that he needs season-ending surgery for a groin tear. Davis is said to have sought multiple opinions from other doctors.
Davis also made his first public comments since being demoted and said he felt disrespected because of the way the issue was handled.
"I'm a professional. I've been in this league long enough. When I look at the situation, I feel like there was no respect. Knowing Chuck, I figured it would come from him. It really bothered me."
Davis also said he disagreed that the reason he missed the game was said to be non-injury related when he has been dealing with the groin injury all season and hasn't felt right yet.
