(HOUSTON, TX) - The Indianapolis Colts got a monster game out of T.Y. Hilton and did just enough to hold off the Houston Texans 20-14 to snap their three-game losing streak.
Hilton racked up 175 yards receiving and two touchdowns on just five catches and now has over 1,100 yards and nine touchdowns in 11 games against the Texans.
"It's just crazy. Maybe I just love playing here," he said after the game.
Jacoby Brissett threw for 308 yards and the two touchdowns while Houston struggled to find rhythm without Deshaun Watson under center. Tom Savage completed just 19 of his 44 passes for 219 yards and a touchdown while Texans' wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins caught six balls for 86 yards and a score.
In a weird exchange in the postgame press conference Chuck Pagano responded to repeated questions about cornerback Vontae Davis not traveling with the team due to a non-injury related reason by calling it "a coach's decision". Pagano did say that Davis will play in their Week 10 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Meanwhile NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Andrew Luck has been advised by multiple doctors to take up to three months off from throwing and that another surgery is at least a possibility though unlikely. He added that the belief is that the additional issues in Luck's shoulder were the byproducts of him playing through a torn labrum for two years.
