(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Carsen Edwards scored 26 points and led the No. 16 Purdue Boilermakers to an easy 97-48 victory over Tennessee State.
Edwards went 10-of-14 from the field and 6-of-8 from 3-point range while P.J. Thompson added 17 points and Matt Haarms scored 14 off the bench.
The Boilermakers had the game well under wraps after the first half when they led 48-16. The Boilermakers shot over 58 percent from the field and 57 percent from 3-point range while racking up 25 assists in the game.
"I thought we did a good job of trying to get the ball inside and just moving the basketball," Purdue head coach Matt Painter said. "I think we have a good balance as a team. We had a good balance offensively. We did a good job of being efficient on the offensive end."
Purdue improved to 12-2 on the season and 8-0 at home. They'll enjoy the holiday break and get back to work on December 30 when they host Lipscomb.
