(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - The Purdue Boilermakers won a hard fought Big Ten battle with Northwestern as they edged the Wildcats 74-69 on Sunday.
Isaac Haas led Purdue with a game-high 26 points and nine rebounds while Ryan Cline added 13 points off the bench.
"The last two games he's been huge for us," coach Matt Painter said of Haas. "His ability to kind of close out the game and make plays, any miss there down the stretch probably would have cost us the game. He was either able to get fouled or make a play."
Purdue dominated from the charity stripe, hitting 16-of-24 free throws while Northwestern only went to the line for five attempts total.
The Boilermakers improve to 8-2 and next host Valparaiso on Thursday.
