(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Coming off a huge win against Notre Dame in the Crossroads Classic the Indiana Hoosiers completely laid an egg as they were blown out by Fort Wayne 92-72 in Bloomington on Monday night.
The Mastodons knocked down 17 3-pointers and guard Kason Harrell had a career-high 28 points. Teammate Bryson Scott wasn't far behind with 26 point as Fort Wayne shot over 51 percent from the field and forced 18 Hoosiers turnovers. It was the fifth time an in-state team other than Purdue or Notre Dame posted consecutive wins over the Hoosiers.
Indiana was led by Rob Johnson's 17 points while Juwan Morgan posted a 14 point and 12 rebound double-double. The Hoosiers made just 4-of-24 3-point attempts.
"I think handling success is always a lot harder than getting kicked in the face," Indiana head coach Archie Miller said of the team's mentality coming off the Notre Dame victory.
Fort Wayne improves to 8-5 and next takes on Liberty while Indiana hosts Tennessee Tech. Both games will be on Thursday.
