(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - The Indiana Hoosiers used a late run to rally past Maryland 71-68. Juwan Morgan scored a game-high 25 points and fueled IU’s key 14-6 run that erased the Terrapins’ five-point lead.
Morgan is coming off an ankle injury that sidelined over the weekend but gave Indiana the offensive spark it needed.
"We were just sort of waiting for him in the first half to see if he could find his way through the game," head coach Archie Miller said of Morgan. "You turn your ankle and a lot of guys handle it different ways. I think Juwan kind of played through the adrenaline tonight."
Robert Johnson and Justin Smith each added 12 points with Johnson also pulling down eight rebounds. The Hoosiers forced 18 turnovers and stole the ball 10 times to win for the fourth time in five games.
The Hoosiers have a quick turnaround as they visit Illinois on Wednesday.
