(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - The Boilermakers did just enough to earn their 16th straight win as they edged a tough Michigan Wolverines squad 92-88.
Both teams combined for 103 points in a wild second-half, with the Wolverines actually edging Purdue 52-51 but the third-ranked Boilermakers had done enough in the first half to pull out the victory.
Vince Edwards scored a career-high 30 points while Isaac Haas added 24.
It is the first time in 30 years and only the fourth time in program history that Purdue has won 16 straight games.
The Boilermakers shot 62 percent from the field and knocked down 11 3-pointers. They go for their 17th straight win on Sunday when they visit their arch-rivals, the Indiana Hoosiers.
