(CHICAGO, IL) - The Chicago Bears introduced new head coach Matt Nagy on Tuesday but the Colts came up during his press conference after reports surfaced that the Colts may have offered Nagy their head coaching job as well.
Nagy seemed to confirm these reports when he was asked about what swayed him to choose Chicago over Indianapolis.
"It was just a feel, and I just know where we're at here, it felt good. No slight to Indianapolis, they have a great team, great things are going to happen, and this is just the way it went."
He added that his relationship with Colts General Manager Chris Ballard was a hard one to pass up.
"Chris Ballard and I have a good relationship away from football, being with the Chiefs together. I respect the heck out of Chris. I think he's going to do a great job there in Indianapolis. He respects me and understands my decision."
Reports out of both Chicago and Indianapolis have differing reports on whether or not Nagy was offered the Colts job.
The Colts have another head coaching interview set for Thursday when they host Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks.
