(MILWAUKEE, WI) - The Pacers losing streak continued into the new year as they were no match for Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks, falling 122-101 as their losing streak reached five games.
Antetokounpo scored a game-high 31 points and 10 rebounds and added five assists, two blocks and a steal. Milwaukee had a tremendous shooting night, hitting just under 59 percent from the field and just under 53 percent from 3-point range.
For the Pacers, Damontas Sabonis set a career-high with 24 points off the bench by going 10-of-13 shooting. Lance Stephenson added 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists but it was another game where the teams seriously missed Victor Oladipo's contributions for a fourth straight game.
"We just aren't establishing really anything," head coach Nate McMillan said. "We have no defensive presence, no offensive presence, nothing. We are just in a hole and turning the ball over way too much. We need to come out with a sense of urgency and start establishing ourselves on both sides of the floor."
The Pacers get back to work on Saturday when they open a four-game homestand by hosting the Chicago Bulls.
