(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Andrew Luck spoke at length for the first time in quite a while when he sat down with Sports Illustrated’ Peter King as part of the Colts Town Hall on Tuesday.
"I feel awesome," Luck said about his rehab progress. "I'm in a great place, it's been a long journey and will continue to be a long journey until we get what we want in Indianapolis. I know in my heart I am getting better and it has been fun to see myself improve."
Luck also gave fans a reason to breathe a sigh of relief when he said he believes the days of thinking a second surgery may be required are a thing of the past.
"That is not an option for me right now. I feel very good with where I am. That ship has sailed in my mind."
The Colts QB also said he thought, much like most fans, that the Josh McDaniels fallout was "odd", said he is excited to work with Frank Reich and see what the offense can become and said he absolutely misses football and has a "true love for football" and he can't wait to get back on the field.
Colts head coach Frank Reich said during his part of the Town Hall that he was hopeful that Luck could participate in the team's OTA program.
