(MADISON, WI) - The Purdue Boilermakers dropped their third straight game as they lost to Wisconsin 57-53.
Ethan Happ racked up a 21 point and 12 rebound double-double as the Boilermakers struggled to get their offense off the ground. Coincidentally, in all three losses Purdue has failed to score more than 65 points in each game.
Carsen Edwards led Purdue with 22 points while Isaac Haas had a 12 point and 11 rebound double-double.
"We're a team that has to have good balance in our jump-shooting, coming off screens," Boilermakers coach Matt Painter said. "It was one of those games where things weren't going your way. You had to grind it out."
Meanwhile, Vince Edwards is stunned the team that broke a school record with 19 consecutive wins all of a sudden can't get a W.
"It's a head-scratcher at this point," he said. "We've got to figure out something."
Purdue will get their next shot to break their losing streak on Sunday when they host a suddenly red-hot Penn State team that has rattled off six wins in their last seven games and currently own a four-game winning streak.
