(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - The Purdue Boilermakers put a bow on their regular season with a dominant 84-60 rout of Minnesota on Sunday.
Senior guard Dakota Mathias matched a career-high with 25 points and added seven rebounds, making five of his career-high seven 3-pointers in the second half. It was a big performance that earned him a standing ovation from the fans and it was made even more special because it was Senior Night.
"The most important thing is we got a win," Mathias said. "I don't know I'll reflect back any time soon on it but maybe a few years down the line I'll think about Senior Night and all these guys."
Carsen Edwards added 18 points and seven assists as the ninth-ranked Boilermakers shot over 51 percent from the field and drained twelve 3-pointers.
Purdue gets enjoy an extended break to see who it plays on Friday in the Big Ten tournament.
