(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Colts made it official with kicker Adam Vinatieri as they signed the 45-year old to a one-year deal on Thursday.
The contract will bring back Vinatieri for his 13th season with Indianapolis and his 23rd NFL season over all.
Vinatieri is a mere 58 points shy of passing Morten Anderson on the NFL's all-time scoring list.
Vinatieri made 29-of-34 field goal attempts last year, and while his 85.3 percent mark was his lowest percentage since 2012 he still made 5-of-6 attempts from 50-plus yards.
Meanwhile, Alex Marvez of the Sporting News report they are set to hire Bobby Johnson as their assistant offensive line coach. Johnson spent the last three seasons as tight ends coach with the Oakland Raiders.
