(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers announced that Glenn Robinson III has been officially cleared and is set to make his season debut on Friday night when the Pacers host the Atlanta Hawks in their first game since the All-Star break.
GR3 passed his conditioning test on Tuesday and completed Wednesday's full practice and said afterwards he is counting down to Friday night.
"I'm ready to go. I got to fit in with the team, we've been playing really well. I think I'll do a good job fitting in with my style of play. It's up to coach McMillan to see the minutes he gives me."
Whatever minutes he does get are likely to be on the shorter end to start out as the team attempts to ease him back into the rotation. Robinson has been sidelined since late September with an ankle injury and after undergoing surgery in October, was initially expected to miss eight weeks with rehab.
The Pacers also announced they have signed point guard Trey McKinney Jones to a 10-day contract. Jones was on the Pacers' training camp roster before joining their G-League affiliate, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, where he has been averaging 11.4 points in 26 games this season.
