(DALLAS, TX) - The Pacers winning streak went up in smoke as they were edged by the Dallas Mavericks 109-103 to start their four-game road trip.
Dallas went off for 41 points in the fourth quarter and it was enough to put the game in their favor as Harrison Barnes led the Mavs with 21 points and J.J. Barea came off the bench with 19 points and nine assists.
The win snapped Dallas' four-game losing streak and gave them a season sweep over Indiana.
Myles Turner led the Pacers with a game-high 24 points while Victor Oladipo scored 13 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter but was limited to 14 minutes of playing time over the first three quarters due to foul trouble.
"It just felt like every time I tried to do something it was a foul," he said. "Unfortunately, we came up short and I wish I had the opportunity to play a little more, but I can't do nothing about it."
Indiana was a lowly 5-for-20 from 3-point range and led the way with 50 rebounds, but turned the ball over 12 times.
The Pacers continue their road trip on Wednesday when they visit the Atlanta Hawks.
