(PHILADELPHIA, PA) - A strong performance by Myles Turner helped the Indiana Pacers edge the Philadelphia 76ers 101-98 for their third straight victory.
Turner matched a season-high with 25 points, including two clutch free throws in the final 21 seconds. Thaddeus Young added a 19 point and 10 rebound double-double as Indiana won the season series against Philly, which could play a big role come playoff time.
"We knew it was going to be physical," Pacers coach Nate McMillan said. "It's that time of the season. Everybody was ready."
Indiana overcame a poor 3-point shooting night where they went 5-of-24 and the loss of Domantas Sabonis, who went down with an ankle injury in the third quarter after Joel Embiid fell on him. McMillan said after the game that X-rays were negative but Sabonis called the ankle "a pretty bad sprain".
After picking up impressive wins over Boston and Philadelphia, the Pacers return home to take on the East-leading Toronto Raptors on Thursday.
