(CLEVELAND, OH) - LeBron James nailed a last-second three-pointer to lift the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 98-95 Game 5 win over the Indiana Pacers and put the Blue & Gold on the brink of elimination.
James was dominant once again as he scored a game-high 44 points and added 10 rebounds, eight assists, a steal and a block.
The game-winning basket came seconds after he blocked Victor Oladipo's potential go-ahead layup, a play the Pacers thought was goaltending.
"He does it at both ends of the floor every single night," teammate Kevin Love said. "That's why he's the best player in the world."
For the Pacers, it was a heartbreaking loss as they rallied from an eight-point deficit to tie the game.
"This series ain't over," Oladipo said. "You go to win four games for the series to be over, right? So we got a chance to win on Friday. I don't think anybody is discouraged or upset."
Oladipo struggled offensively once again, scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Domantas Sabonis led Indiana with 22 points off the bench while the Cavaliers hit 26 of their 27 free throws.
The Pacers face a must-win situation in Friday night's Game 6 when the series returns to Indianapolis.
