(CLEVELAND, OH) - LeBron James delivered one of his vintage playoff performances as he scored 46 points and led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 100-97 win over the Indiana Pacers to even the series at 1-1.
James went 17-of-24 from the field, pulled down 12 rebounds, dished five assists and had two steals.
"I played my game," he said.
Cleveland opened the game on a tear, leading 33-18 at the end of the first quarter. The Pacers never gave up as they continued to pull within striking distance.
Darren Collison knocked down back-to-back shots to make it a one-possession game and after a George Hill offensive foul the Pacers had a chance to tie.
Victor Oladipo would get a wide-open look at a game-tying three but missed it wide as James pulled down the rebound.
"I got a clean look, I shot and I just missed," Oladipo said. "If I had that look again, I would take it every time."
Oladipo led the Pacers with 22 points while Myles Turner added 18.
The series now heads to Indiana for the next two games with Game 3 on Friday night.
