(BLOOMINGTON) - On Saturday, Bedford North Lawrence Unified track team placed second at Robert C. Haugh Track and Field complex on the IU Campus to advance to the state finals.
The Times Mail reports that Columbus North (130) took first, followed by BNL (127), Warren Central (100), Floyd Central (98) and Perry Meridian (84).
These five schools all advanced to the state finals where they will meet the top schools from the Kokomo Regional.
The 400 relay team of Kristopher Hensley, Peyton Storms, Ray Lee and Gavin Branham broke last year's school record and has one of the fastest times in the state this year with a time of 49.46 seconds.
Samuel Jackson took first plate in the shot put with a throw of 146' 1 1/2".
