Pritchard, McMillan Hold End Of Season Press Conference

Last updated on Wednesday, May 2, 2018

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - As the Indiana Pacers season came to an official end with their Game 7 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers both team President Kevin Pritchard and head coach Nate McMillan held their end of season press conferences on Tuesday.

They both said the future is bright for the Blue & Gold.

"These teams don't come around very often," Pritchard said. "I've never had a team like this. They were just fun. In my 26 years in the league I've never been around a team that brought it like they did this year. They had each other's backs."

The Pacers face an offseason with key decisions as they debate whether to dip into free agency or try to build around a young core of Victor Oladipo, Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis.

"We're looking at all the options," Pritchard said. "Do we go big-game fishing this summer, which will cause us to lose some of the players we have here? Or do we keep this basic team together, maybe add a few peripheral pieces, and then have $50-70 million in cap space the following year?"
