(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - A big week for Indiana Hoosiers basketball continued on Thursday as head coach Archie Miller landed Saint Mary’s graduate transfer Evan Fitzner.
The 6-10 Fitzner is a career 41.5-percent 3-point shooter and says he is coming to IU to help with their distance shooting.
"There's kind of a need for an outside shooter at Indiana," he said.
Fitzner's commitment filled the 13th and final scholarship for the Hoosiers next season.
"He was very, very impressed by Indiana," his father, Mark said. "He's looking for an opportunity to showcase what he does. Obviously not just as an individual, but he's a very team oriented guy."
The addition of Fitzner caps off a week that started with the Hoosiers landing highly-coveted prospect Romeo Langford on Monday.
