(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts open training camp on Wednesday and are heading in with some very good news as General Manager Chris Ballard declared on Friday that quarterback Andrew Luck “:good to go” and added that while he will get some rest days he will be “full tilt” when he is a participant.
The other good news came on Sunday as the Colts announced they had agreed to contract terms with second-round pick linebacker Darius Leonard, which means their entire draft class is under contract heading into camp. NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reports Leonard's deal is a four-year contract.
There was some not-so-good news as the Colts announced safeties Clayton Geathers and Malik Hooker as well as offensive guard Jeremy Vujnovich would all open camp on the physically unable to perform list (PUP). Vujnovich is still dealing with a calf injury that kept him out of a good portion of the team's offseason program while Hooker is still recovering from a torn ACL and MCL and Geathers is the closest to returning, but sidelined after an offseason knee procedure.
