(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers didn’t make a big, splashy first move in free agency, but they did make a move as they signed Doug McDermott to a fully guaranteed 3-year, $22 million contract.
The Pacers will be the fifth team already for the 26-year old, with previous stops in Chicago, Oklahoma City, New York and Dallas.
McDermott averaged 7.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game last season when he split time between the Knicks and Mavericks. He is a career 40.3 percent 3-point shooter.
