(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - It wasn’t the kind of showing Andrew Luck wanted in his return to Lucas Oil Stadium as the Colts lost to the Baltimore Ravens 20-19 in their second preseason game.
Luck received a roaring ovation as he made his way onto the field but admitted afterward that his play was just OK. "Not too sharp," he said after going 6-for-13 for 50 yards and throwing a turnover inside the Ravens' 20-yard line.
"Obviously, red zone turnovers are a negative, missed a couple of throws I'd like to hit. And I didn't feel we, as an offense, got into any sembelance of a sustained rhythm."
Luck was also hit a couple of times, including a blindside sack by Ravens' All-Pro linebacker Terrell Suggs.
"I told Castonzo it was actually fun to get hit by Suggs," Luck said before pausing. "He gave me a death stare as I said it."
Head coach Frank Reich said the Colts have a lot of work to do and not a whole lot of time to correct it as they have their third preseason game on Saturday when they host Jimmy Garoppolo and the San Francisco 49ers.
