(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Tony Stewart says he has a ride for the Indianapolis 500 if he chooses to accept an offer from Bobby Rahal.
Speaking during Sunday's Brickyard 400 rain delay Stewart said he received an email to participate in the 103rd running.
"I don't do emails so I haven't even responded to Bobby Rahal yet, so I just found out I had an email from him."
Stewart indicated that if he does accept an invite it won't be for the 2019 itineration.
"The IndyCar Series is so competitive right now, and the drivers and teams are so tough. I want to run an oval race sometime in the coming year to get ready for 2020 if I'm going to do it."
