Mike Mitchell Named AFC Defensive Player Of The Week

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Colts safety Mike Mitchell was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week thanks to his contributions to Indianapolis’ 37-5 rout over the Buffalo Bills.

Mitchell, who has only been with the team since October 9 racked up seven tackles, a forced fumble and an interception in the game.

Mitchell is the second Colts player to win the award this season, joining Darius Leonard who did it in Week 2. Mitchell also became the first Colts safety to win the award since Mike Adams did it in Week 5 of the 2015 season.
