(MINNEAPOLIS, MN) - The Indiana Pacers hung tough with the Minnesota Timberwolves for three quarters but in the fourth period were outscored 29-18 and that was the difference as they lost 101-91.
Victor Oladipo and Bojan Bogdanovic each scored 20 points while Myles Turner added 16 but Minnesota used tough defense and contested shots to cool off the Blue & Gold.
"I feel like overall, they kinda forced us into some tough shots," Oladipo said after the game. "Credit them, they did a pretty good job defensively."
A returning Jimmy Butler led Minnesota with 20 points while four other Timberwolves scored in double figures.
It was the first game of the season where the Pacers failed to reach at least 101 points in a game. Their three-game road trip continues on Wednesday when they take on the new look San Antonio Spurs.
